The Ethnic Minorities Charity Engagement Monitor
The Ethnic Minorities Engagement Monitor is a twice yearly opinion tracking monitor of ethnic minorities. It tracks awareness of charities and issues of concern to charities, amongst BME groups including Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Caribbean, African and Chinese. The research also covers general social topics and areas of interest to both charities and the public.
The first wave of research was conducted in autumn 2007, and we are now analysing the results for the first report, due out in January 2008.
The research
The research is carried out amongst 850 adults from ethnic communities, using face-to-face methodology. The fieldwork is carried out by Ethnic Focus. Each ethnic sub-group comprises at least 100 respondents and will otherwise be representative in terms of age, gender, and social grade. The sample will also be geographically representative.
Other demographics collected will include social grade, income, marital status, housing tenure, religion, employment status, household size, locality and language.
Timings
The research will be taking place twice a year, with the next wave scheduled for April 2008.
Costs
The cost of the Ethnic Minorities Charity Engagement Monitor is £6,500 plus VAT.
