Scottish Charity Engagement Monitor

The Scottish Charity Engagement Monitor is a syndicated tracking awareness survey of the general public in Scotland. It works in a similar way to our Charity Awareness Monitor, and is ideal for charities with a presence in the Scottish voluntary sector, or those who would like to expand into this area.

Being a member of SCEM offers you personalised research at a fraction of the usual cost, giving insight to help fundraising, campaigning and communications. (back to top)

What is asked about and when?

Topics covered within the research include:

  • How Scottish people interact with charities
  • Tracking of awareness of charities, enabling benchmarking across organisations
  • Tracking of charity campaigns’ effectiveness
  • Which issues relevant to charities are top of the agenda for the Scottish public
  • Which fundraising methods annoy and delight the Scottish public

We run the survey twice every year, in March and October. Each wave contains questions on brand awareness. (back to top)

Sample and methodology

The research takes place as an online survey of 1,000 representative members of the Scottish public. We can break down results by age, gender, and social demographic. (back to top)
