Lindsay SutherlandResearcherLindsay joined nfpSynergy in April 2006 and is responsible for the daily running of the Charity Media Monitor and the Youth Engagement Monitor. She has also been involved in various bespoke projects including some for the MS Society, Plan International and Arthritis Research Campaign; and general projects such as the UK Fundraising Benchmark. Before nfpSynergy, Lindsay taught English in Shanghai for a year and made the most of holiday time to explore other regions in China. Before China, she completed an internship with a small local charity in Leamington Spa, which campaigns to fight world hunger and poverty. She also volunteered with two conservation organisations in South Africa which involved the burdensome task of patrolling the stunning coastline to monitor whales and dolphins. This confirmed her ambition to establish a career in the not-for-profit sector (although now in an indoor setting). She graduated in 2003 from Oxford University (St. Anne’s College) with a 2:1 in Classics, which remains a strong interest for her.
