Fundraising and supporter studies
How do people choose which causes and organisations to support? How satisfied are our current supporters? What motivates our current supporters and how can we develop this relationship? How effective are our communications? What are the main reasons that donors lapse from supporting our charity?
These are some of the questions our research can help to answer.
Case Study: Plan International – International analysis of child sponsors
Plan International approached us because they wanted to get a better understanding of how their child sponsorship scheme is perceived throughout the world. We organised a quantitative research programme in Australia, Canada, Norway and the UK, which examined these key areas:
• Motivations for becoming a sponsor
• How donations are distributed
• Perceived importance and experience of interacting with sponsored children
• Satisfaction with communications received from Plan/sponsored children
• Development education impact of being a child sponsor
• Perceptions of Plan and how it could develop in the future
Approximately 5000 individuals were surveyed and overall, the project produced a high amount of insights into the views and opinions of sponsors, providing a detailed cross-country comparison of results.
This presented Plan International with a platform, should they wish to continue with the research further afield.
“Plan International found nfpSynergy very professional in dealing with the different demands of our offices around the world,” said Dr Simon Heap, Plan’s Global Research Co-ordinator.
“We have no hesitation in recommending them to others seeking such incisive surveys.”
