Gemma Tracey
Senior Researcher

Gemma runs our Attitudes & Awareness Parliamentary Monitor, surveying
MPs, Peers and members of the devolved assemblies for public bodies, membership
and professional organisations such as the General Medical Council and Local
Government Association. She has also worked on a wide range of projects,
including a review of schools fundraising for UNICEF and focus group research
for the Scout Association.
Gemma joined nfpSynergy in May 2006 after working on humanitarian issues at
the United Kingdom Mission to the United Nations in New York. While there she gained both an
interesting insight into the workings of international diplomacy and a deeper
understanding of the role of charities in providing humanitarian assistance. Gemma
has also worked as an English teacher at a university in Tomsk, Russia and as an intern at the United Nations headquarters in New York.
Gemma has a degree in French and Russian from Heriot-Watt University
and is currently studying for a MA in Russian Studies at University College
London. She is a trustee of the charity Look East Wild Earth and serves on the
board of Youth and Environment Europe.
