Caterina Violi
Senior Researcher

Since joining nfpSynergy in 2007 Caterina has been working on a number of nfpSynergy’s syndicated research programmes. On the brand tracking front, she manages the Brand Attributes Monitor exploring perceptions of charity brands among the public in the UK and - as part of a larger team – she runs the Charity Awareness Monitor (CAM), nfpSynergy’s syndicated brand awareness tracking service for charities in the UK. As well as working on research among UK audiences, Caterina has also been managing the Irish Charity Engagement Monitor since its launch in 2008, nfpSynergy’s syndicated brand awareness tracking service in the Republic of Ireland.
As well as managing syndicated research programmes, Caterina has worked on a number of large bespoke projects including elements of both quantitative and qualitative research for clients such as CAFOD, Macmillan Cancer Research and Atlantic Philanthropies.
Before joining nfpSynergy Caterina completed an internship with the Market Intelligence Team at Oxfam GB. There she worked on a number of market intelligence pieces as well as conducting analysis of quantitative data for in-house research projects. The exciting experience of a research environment in the context of a large charity is ultimately what brought Caterina to nfpSynergy. She has also had experience of the non-profit sector through her work as a face-to-face fundraiser on behalf of WaterAid.
Caterina has a degree in Economics from Trinity College Cambridge. Outside work, she has a passion for Capoeira – a Brazilian martial art which she practices regularly.
